Beth came to London from the Midlands to study at the Royal Academy of Music. She graduated in 1999 and continues to work as a professional Double Bass and Bass Guitar player at a high level within the Music Industry. Years of practicing and performing meant she had to understand the importance of looking after her body, particularly as she had shoulder pain, back pain and tendonitis in her wrists, which is so commonly suffered amongst professional musicians. One year she stumbled upon an Iyengar Yoga class and enjoyed it as a way of keeping fit. However, as time went on, she noticed that the tendonitis, shoulder and back pain she had was no longer there. With Iyengar’s emphasis on alignment and precision, she manages to keep her body and mind in check. Beth’s aim is for her students to develop a depth of knowledge and understanding of asana and pranayama in a safe and caring environment. She looks forward to welcoming you to her class.
