Group Sound Meditation - Embracing the Winter with Craig Rogerson

  • Yogaloft 27 Beethoven Street London, England, W10 4LG United Kingdom (map)

Price: £20 in studio

As we step into December, this session shall focus on our inner fire - not only tapping into that which sees us through the winter months, but that which aids us through challenging times as well. We tie off the year with this restful moment, ready for that end of the year reset.

Enjoying the sounds of the crystal singing bowls, metal Himalayan singing bowls, the Gong, chimes, and the Handpan amongst other sonic treats, you are welcomed to let go and drift away to wherever the sound may take you.

Craig is an IPHM certified Sound Therapy Practitioner providing Individual treatments and Group Sound Meditations through his practice ‘Soundworks’. His Group Sound Meditations utilise the strengths of many instruments and sound tools to create rhythmic, calm, safe and welcoming spaces for all to relax in. You will be guided to a restful, meditative state using a variety of instruments, the sounds of Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, the Gong, chimes and kalimbas - and not to forget, the beautiful sounds of the Handpan.

Stimulating frequencies create parasympathetic reactions that allow us to clear blockages whether emotional, mental or physical. Work with such sound tools can be detoxing, balancing, de-stressing and uplifting.

While yoga mats, bolsters and blankets are provided, you are welcome to bring your own cushion should you wish. Sound is proven to be more effective when our eyes are covered. Craig's handmade silken eye covers will be available at the Yogaloft reception for £4, or feel free to bring your own shawl, scarf or eye mask.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to register and set up your space in the studio. Latecomers cannot be admitted as it will disrupt the progress of the session.”

NB - If you are pregnant of have a pacemaker fitted, please contact Craig prior to booking.
